How we handle your data.
Last updated 27 April 2026. The short version is below — a calmer read than most.
What we collect
When you join the waitlist or sign in, we store the email address you give us. Once you have a workspace, we store the vendors, receipts, and notes you put into Spendyard, plus the metadata our authentication and infrastructure providers generate (session tokens, rough device info, request logs).
How we use it
To run the product: keep you signed in, render your workspace, debug issues, and reach you about your account. We do not sell your data and we do not run third-party advertising trackers on Spendyard.
We also use your data in aggregated, de-identified form for statistical purposes — to understand how the product is used, spot rough edges, and decide what to build next. These aggregates can't be traced back to you or your workspace, and we don't share individual records with anyone outside the processors listed below.
Who processes it
- Clerk — sign-in, sessions, and the waitlist.
- Convex — the database and backend functions that hold your workspace data.
- Anthropic — language-model calls used by certain in-app helpers, on the text you submit to those helpers.
- Resend — sends the transactional email we deliver to you and receives mail you forward in (such as receipts and invoices) so it can be attached to your workspace.
Your choices
You can ask us to export or delete your account data at any time. Email hello@spendyard.com and we'll handle it within a reasonable window.
Changes
If we materially change how we handle your data, we'll update the date at the top of this page and notify active workspaces by email before the change takes effect.
